The Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) is there for you if you have difficulty getting to cancer-related appointments.
CAP is a community-based, not-for-profit organization that offers a range of free services for individuals and families in the greater region of Hamilton who are affected by cancer.
CAP’s Drive and Ride program, supported by Scotiabank, provides free transportation to and from cancer-related medical appointments.
The program provides more than 3,000 rides per year with compassionate and trained volunteers.
You need to register for transportation by calling the CAP office at 905-383-9797 (toll free at 1-844-588-9797) once you have the dates for which you require rides.
The transportation program is open only to residents of the greater region of Hamilton.
CAP also provides home health equipment loans, personal care and comfort items and parking.
CAP is located at 569 Concession Street, only a short walk from the Juravinski Cancer Centre. For more information, visit the website at www.cancerassist.ca
